Freedom

A Participatory Visual Arts Project by Surya Dev Chandra

Freedom is a participatory visual arts exhibition and live performance project, bringing together refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, students, artists and local community members to explore freedom through lived experience and creative expression.
Combining movement, immersive sound, sculpture, puppetry, visual art and live performance, the work invites audiences into an evolving artistic environment where the boundaries between performer, artwork and audience begin to blur.
The exhibition explores hope, resilience, identity, transformation, life, death and freedom, while the performance unfolds within this immersive world through movement, sound, visual art and the human body.
An exploratory work that asks questions rather than offering answers, FREEDOM invites audiences to experience freedom through our bodies, our memories, our communities and our inner lives.
Explore. Interact. Experience.
